Security

Respond to device risk

Act quickly when a phone is lost, inspected, shared unexpectedly, or no longer trusted.

First response

  1. From a trusted device, sign in to COnnect and open account security or device management.
  2. Review recent device and login activity for entries you do not recognize.
  3. Change the affected account credential if you believe someone else may know it.

Remove access

Select the untrusted device and use the available remove, sign-out, or revoke action. The exact controls depend on the account and device state. After removing access, sign in again only from devices you trust.

Start from the account menu to reach the security controls available to your account.

Local data protection

Where the product and device state support it, remote erase or emergency local wipe can reduce the amount of COnnect data left on a risky device. These controls do not erase copies held by message recipients, other devices, backups, or external services.

Do not wait to recover the device

Protect the account first. Contact support if you cannot sign in or if the suspicious device remains active after you remove it.

See Protect your account for PIN and access review guidance.
