You can request deletion of your COnnect account and related personal data at any time. This page is the public account deletion request page for COnnect users, including users who installed the app from Apple App Store or Google Play.
How to submit a request
Email the COnnect Privacy Team from the email address linked to your COnnect account.
Request deletion by emailInclude your registered email address or phone number, account username or ID if known, and country or region. We may ask for additional information only where needed to verify that you control the account.
What will be deleted
After verification, we will delete or de-identify personal data associated with your COnnect account where deletion is not restricted by legal, security, dispute-resolution, fraud-prevention, accounting, or enterprise contract obligations. This may include:
- account profile information;
- login credentials controlled by COnnect;
- app settings and preferences;
- connected-service authorization tokens controlled by COnnect;
- personal data stored by COnnect that is no longer required to provide the Services.
Data that may not be deleted immediately
Some information may be retained for a limited period where required or permitted by applicable law, platform rules, security needs, audit obligations, backup integrity, fraud prevention, billing records, dispute handling, or legal compliance.
Account deletion through COnnect does not delete data controlled by third-party messaging services, message recipients, other devices, cloud backups, employer-managed enterprise systems, or external services outside COnnect’s control.
Enterprise and organization accounts
If your COnnect account is provided by your employer or another organization, deletion may need to be handled according to that organization’s administrator instructions, contract terms, and legal retention requirements. We may direct the request to the relevant organization administrator when appropriate.
Timing
We aim to acknowledge deletion requests within a reasonable time and complete verified deletion requests within 30 days where practicable, unless a longer period is required by law, security investigation, technical constraints, backup cycles, or enterprise contractual obligations.
Withdrawing consent and other privacy rights
Malaysian users and other users covered by applicable privacy laws may also request access, correction, withdrawal of consent, or other rights described in the COnnect Privacy Policy.
